Register definitions once
Section titled “Register definitions once”The daemon registry is the source of process ownership. Add a project, then add each process Dovik may start. Dovik runs the executable directly, without an intermediate shell.
Use repeated --arg and --env flags for ordered arguments and private environment overrides. List and status responses never return stored environment values.
Inspect before changing lifecycle
Section titled “Inspect before changing lifecycle”Use process status and process logs before retrying a failed or timed-out operation. A client timeout does not prove that the daemon rejected the request.

Restart waits for the owned process tree to terminate before creating a new runtime instance.
Remove definitions safely
Section titled “Remove definitions safely”Stop a process before removing it. Remove every process owned by a project before removing the project itself.
